Getting Started

What is Homemark?

Homemark lets you bookmark any address in Canada or the United States. The moment that address lists for sale, changes price, or books an open house, we send you an alert — no real estate agent required, completely free.

Do I need an account?

Yes. A free account lets us store your bookmarks and send notifications to the right email address. Sign up takes under a minute — no credit card needed.

How much does Homemark cost?

Homemark is completely free. You can add unlimited bookmarks and receive unlimited alerts at no charge.

Which countries are supported?

We monitor listings in Canada and the United States. Coverage is powered by realtor.ca for Canadian addresses and realtor.com for US addresses.

Is there a mobile app?

A native mobile app is coming soon. In the meantime, the web app works great on any phone browser and can be added to your home screen for an app-like experience.

Bookmarks

What types of bookmarks can I add?

There are three types:

  • 🏠Address — a single specific property (e.g. 123 Maple St).
  • 🛣️Street — every home on a given street.
  • 📍Area — an entire neighbourhood or postal/zip code region.

How many bookmarks can I add?

There is no limit. Add as many addresses, streets, or areas as you like.

How do I add a bookmark?

From your dashboard, tap the + Add bookmark button. Type in the address, street, or area name and select the bookmark type. We'll start monitoring it right away.

Can I add a private note to a bookmark?

Yes. Open any bookmark card on your dashboard and tap the note icon to add a personal note — things like viewing history, your budget, or why you're watching that address. Notes are private and never shared.

How do I delete a bookmark?

Open the bookmark card on your dashboard and tap the delete (trash) icon. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

How often are bookmarks checked?

  • 🏠Address bookmarks are checked every 6 hours.
  • 🛣️Street bookmarks are checked every 12 hours.
  • 📍Area bookmarks are checked every 24 hours.

Alerts

What alert types does Homemark send?

  • 🔴New Listing — the address just listed for sale.
  • 💰Price Change — the asking price was reduced or increased.
  • 🏡Open House — an open house has been scheduled.
  • Sold — the listing has sold.

How are alerts delivered?

Alerts are sent by email to your account address. Push notifications via the mobile app are coming soon.

What is the Weekly Digest?

The Weekly Digest is a summary email sent once a week covering all activity across your bookmarks — new listings, price changes, open houses, and sold properties. You can enable or disable it from your profile settings.

Can I turn off alerts for a specific bookmark?

Individual per-bookmark notification controls are on the roadmap. For now, you can delete a bookmark to stop receiving alerts for it, or adjust your overall email preferences in Profile Settings.

I'm not receiving alerts — what should I check?

  • Check your spam or junk folder and mark Homemark emails as safe.
  • Make sure your email address is verified — check Profile Settings.
  • Confirm email notifications are enabled in Profile Settings.
  • Remember that checks happen on a schedule (every 6–24 hours depending on bookmark type), so alerts may not be instant.
  • If you're still not receiving alerts after 24 hours, contact us.

Account

How do I change my email address or password?

Go to Profile Settings from your dashboard. You can update your name, email, and password there.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from the Profile Settings page. Deleting your account permanently removes all your bookmarks and personal data. This action cannot be undone.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login page, click Forgot your password? and enter your email address. We'll send a reset link within a few minutes.

Privacy

Is my data shared with anyone?

No. Your bookmarks and personal information are never sold or shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Does Homemark store listing photos or property data?

We store a minimal snapshot of listing data (price, status, open house dates) needed to detect changes and send alerts. We do not permanently archive full listing details or photos.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored on servers in Canada. We do not transfer personal data outside of Canada.
